Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Retail Front ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal authority to bind any business you represent.

2. The Service

Retail Front provides AI-generated storefront audits and redesign reports. You upload a photo and answer questions; we return a report.

The Service is a tool, not a guarantee. It does not replace professional architectural, engineering, legal, financial, or safety advice.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for your password and all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payment, Pricing, and Refunds

  • Free Audit: free, no payment required.
  • Premium Report: $50 USD one-time, or $40 with a valid referral code.
  • Taxes: Sales tax/VAT is calculated at checkout where required.
  • Payment processor: PayPal. Your use of PayPal is governed by PayPal's user agreement.

4.1 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on Premium Reports. If you are not satisfied with your report, email support@retail-front.store within 30 days of purchase with your PayPal transaction ID.

Refund Processing: We review all refund requests within 7 days of receipt. Refunds are issued within 7–10 business days of approval.

Conditions: Refunds are issued at our discretion if the report failed to generate due to our error. We may decline refunds if:

  • You have downloaded the PDF and distributed it publicly
  • You have exceeded 3 re-uploads (see §5)
  • We detect fraud or abuse

Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we may suspend your account pending resolution.

4.2 EU Consumers

If you are an EU consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This guarantee does not limit that right.

5. Re-Uploads

You may re-upload a new storefront photo up to 3 times per purchase. Each re-upload:

  • Re-runs the Free Audit and all 3 Premium Report stages
  • Requires the new photo to differ from the original by more than 15% (perceptual hash)
  • Is free

6. Referral Program

  • Referrers earn a 20% discount code for each successful referral.
  • Referral codes are single-use and non-transferable.
  • We may modify or end the program at any time.
  • Self-referrals are prohibited.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos and text you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Store, process, and transmit Your Content to Google Gemini and other service providers
  • Display Your Content back to you in the Service
  • Use de-identified, aggregated data to improve the Service

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have permission to upload Your Content
  • Your Content does not infringe any third party's rights
  • Your Content does not contain illegal, obscene, or harmful material
  • You have permission to photograph the storefront and any people visible in it

8. AI Disclaimer

THE SERVICE USES GENERATIVE AI. AI OUTPUTS MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR BIASED.

  • Reports are estimates, not guarantees of revenue, savings, or outcomes.
  • "Total Monthly Loss," "6-Month Potential Gain," "Current Score," and similar metrics are AI-generated estimates, not audited financial figures.
  • You are solely responsible for verifying any recommendation before acting on it.
  • Always consult a licensed professional (architect, engineer, contractor, attorney, accountant) before making structural, electrical, signage, permitting, or financial decisions.
  • We are not liable for any decision you make based on the report.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload photos you don't have rights to
  • Upload photos of people without their consent
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or invade privacy
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service
  • Use the Service to build a competing product
  • Violate any law

10. Intellectual Property

  • Our IP: The Service, our code, our prompts, our UI, our brand "Retail Front," and our report templates are owned by us.
  • Your IP: You own Your Content and your report data. You may use the report for your business.
  • Feedback: If you send us feedback, we may use it without compensation.

11. DMCA / Copyright

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to our Designated Agent:

Your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work
  3. Identification of the infringing material and its URL
  4. Your contact info
  5. A statement of good-faith belief
  6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the info is accurate

We will respond per 17 U.S.C. §512.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant:

  • That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • That reports will be accurate or complete
  • That you will achieve any particular result

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR LOST DATA.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from:

  • Your Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or third-party right

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Informal resolution: Before filing suit, email legal@retail-front.store and give us 30 days to resolve.

Venue: Exclusive venue is the courts of Matosinhos, Portugal.

EU consumers: Nothing in this section limits your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use = acceptance.
